How To Recover From A Rave in 5 simple steps!?

As one of my favorite DJs Sir Isaac Newton once said:"What goes up must come down”. In other words, every action has an equal, opposite reaction; every high has a low; every epic night out has a dull morning after. For whatever reason, there is a certain gravity to that statement. And it holds particularly true with comedowns. But if you know you're headed for a comedown, or if it has already hit. Then here are 5 sure ways to get back to your daily vibe as quickly as possible.

#1 Party all night? Sleep all day!

Chances are you lost a significant chunk of sleep during that loud weekend rave. Once your sleep cycle is disrupted, you may notice an increase in fatigue and irritability. Quality sleep is essential for allowing your body and mind to rest and recharge. During the following days after partying, make an effort to go to bed earlier than usual and take naps during the day when possible. Having a couple of nights of good sleep will leave you refreshed and alert when you wake up.

#2 Eat Nutrient Rich Foods

It's tempting to neglect cooking and go the fast-food route, which may seem easy.  But nutrient rich food is vital to re-balance your brain chemicals. There have been plenty of studies which suggest that consuming foods rich in fatty acids and complex carbohydrates decrease feelings of depression and increase general energy levels.

Not only do the following foods contain healthy fatty acids. But they also have lots of protein in them, which keep those post-party cravings at bay.

  • Chicken
  • Turkey
  • Salmon
  • Eggs
  • Avocados

Here are also some excellent fruits and vegetables especially good for comedowns:

  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Pineapples
  • Apples
  • Blueberries

Consuming these food groups will give your brain the building blocks it needs to naturally produce the famous "Happy Hormone" serotonin.

#3 Restore Balance with Supplements

Alcohol and substances deplete the body of both electrolytes and vitamins, especially vitamin B12. If you feel that a good diet is not enough and wish to regain energy levels faster. Then supplementation might be the exact method you're looking for.

Electrolytes, B & C vitamins, amino acids - a complete supplementation stack usually ends up with having to swallow 7 different capsules. Which tend to be uncomfortable to swallow and generally isn't the best of experiences. A great alternative is a jar of BrainBrain, which covers all of the mentioned ingredients in just one super-tasty beverage. One jar can last from a couple of weeks to multiple months. Helping you quickly restore energy and increase mental performance when you need it most.

#4 Exercise, Stretching & Massage

After a long periods of continuous dancing and being physically extra active, your body will most likely be exhausted and sore. This is caused by inflammation and small tears in the muscles. You might have felt a similar feeling after an intense workout. A good way to help alleviate these tensions is stretching or getting a massage. Give your body the opportunity to rest and relax.

It's also a good idea to do some exercise. A light workout stimulates the cardiovascular system in natural and healthy way. Try not overdoing it though. As exercising too much will make you even more tired and have a counterproductive effect. Keep in mind, the idea is to feel better, not set a new personal record. Keep it light and playful.

#5 Spend time with a buddy

You may have all the abovementioned pillars covered, but still feel a bit down. This is the best time to reach out to a good friend and chill with them. Go for a bike-ride, shopping, play videogames, challenge the status quo etc. You know, simple everyday things that keep you focused on the positive aspects of life.

There you have it, these are the most recommended remedies that you can incorporate to relieve those dreaded comedowns. Be mindful that everyone is built different and you should find what works best for you ;)
