Within a succession of volleys of pros and cons of XP as a programming method, a friend of mine has driven me to try pair programming once again. I say once again, though my previous experiments were few and short lived. more

Reply To how to unit test a permutation tree?

I've not come to an easy solution that tests just the permutation tree -- in particular the boggle matrix case. There is however a reasonable test for the full boggle anagram finding algorithm. replies

MSIE 8 trade old defects for new ones

This is just great. I'm testing BigTPoker.com with MSIE8 only to realize it doesn't fix a damn thing with CSS and just provides another array of nonsense. more

Debian screws up MySQL

MySQL on Debian is extremely annoying, especially if trying to setup a slave DB. Debian just keeps trying to be too clever and fucks everything up. more

A Brand New Brain

I've uploaded another new brain. This one again has very little in terms of user-level functionality. A lot of things in the back have been cleaned up. The most visible change is the move protection. more
