The points you bring up are minor in the grand scheme of things. I doubt even the unbelievable growth in Canadian oil sands production will be enough to sustain global oil production increases for much longer, if at all. more⇛

There are a few important factors which must be considered

• a war in Iraq prevents proper drilling/production
• a war in Afghanistan prevents shipment
• Brazil has a large new find
• Venezuela's reserves seem to be bigger than previously though
• Saudi Arabia and company appear more⇛
