I am thinking of trying to create an event planning calendar web app. The idea is that you create an event and set up potential dates/times for the event. Then you invite people to participate. People who want to join can veto dates/times that don't work for them. You can then officially announce a date/time from the list of those that remain open at the end.

That would be like a poll then. If I added polls to BrainBrain would you consider using it?

Somebody else already mentioned they'd like a calendar app, and I think I can extend this system to be able to handle such things...

That's an interesting way of looking at it. There are a few things I'd envisioned. One was that when you invited people, the app would send them an e-mail with a url that identified them so only people specifically invited could 'vote'. The other aspect was that this 'poll' would work in a specific way: People would veto the days/times that didn't work for them. I guess this could be done with the wording as a first pass, but the poll would have to support multi-selection for this particular case, since people might veto more than one possible date/time.

Well, that would put it well beyond what I could do in BrainBrain in short time.

Though, if you go ahead with it let me know, I have some great testing tools and DB layer tools. ;)
